Tim Kasher PR 2010

“Cold Love” is the first track from Tim Kasher’s debut solo album The Game Of Monogamy. It’s a surprisingly poppy, horn-backed track with jokes about boring sex and the missionary position. Kasher told Spin: “It’s a minor detail, but it’s gotten me pretty excited, creatively speaking, to start over like this. I imagine about 90 percent of these songs would not have made it into a Cursive practice.” Not a bad thing, in this case:

The Game Of Monogamy is out 10/5 via Saddle Creek. Here’s the tracklist:

01 “Monogamy Overture”
02 “A Grown Man”
03 “I’m Afraid I’m Gonna Die Here”
04 “Strays”
05 “Cold Love”
06 “Surprise, Surprise”
07 “There Must Be Something I’ve Lost”
08 “Bad, Bad Dreams”
09 “No Fireworks”
10 “The Prodigal Husband”
11 “Monogamy”
