Fresh off announcing her first ever solo tour and just months from the release of her similarly solo debut Are You Listening?, The Cranberries front woman knocks another off the “to do” list with a vid for the forthcoming album’s lead single, “Ordinary Day.” Far as we can tell, Dolores is the concerned parent of a rebelliously adolescent little red riding hood. And for the O’Riordan hairstyle watchers: it’s long, black, and beautiful.

Dunno who directed it, but they must’ve seen Nic Roeg’s modern gothic classic “Don’t Look Now” (1973), judging from the mysterious red-hooded child leading the protagonist on fruitless searches. Didn’t have “Don’t Look Now”‘s shocker of an ending, though….
Oh, and a decent song, too.

She looks and sounds great. Hopefully she’ll do better than the Cranberries were doing, these past years. Apart from their early material, who even cared about them during their last legs? (Did they even break up? I’m just presuming so.)

  4. I noticed there is another song on her Myspace called “In the Garden”… great stuff. There are two more tracks on iTunes as well.

Video is kind of dumb/predictable, but i’m digging the music.
