Another warning: “Jeremy,” to me, was all about Eddie Vedder’s phrasing, and Love really rushes through the lyrics, firing them off almost at random. It makes it difficult to get through the video. See what I mean:
Hole’s been covering this on tour in recent weeks. Love points out that her guitarist, who plays along on an acoustic for this cover, probably wouldn’t remember the song — he was five years old when it came out in 1992.

That video made me wish I’d never heard the song, so that I wouldn’t know what she’d just ruined.
If only Vedder’s pretentious, monotone vocals were there to make it the worst duet of the 21st century.
You are obviously not an Eddie Veddie fan, but I can assure you there is nothing “pretentious” about him from his voice to the person he is, had the chance to meet him when I worked venue security in 90′s and actually saw him wait around for one of our female staffers for nearly 30 mins while she retrieved CD & Poster for him to sign. He was a complete gentleman, unlike many of the bands we had to deal ie. nirvana’s Kurt Cobain, complete Jack Ass Rock Star he aways claimed not to be
15 years later, Courtney Love is still on a mission to singlehandedly ruin grunge.
huge Pearl Jam fan, the original isn’t one of my favorites, but this is just horrible (same as everything Courtney Love has ever been involved with)

i made the mistake of going over to check out hole out of morbid curiousity and being bored watching deloreon… and this was what was going on… afterwards she said it was “surreal right?”

Just because I know Courtney likes the abuse: Courtney that sucked! The absolute worst version of Jeremy I have ever heard. My dog started howling and ran into the door trying to escape the horror. Never again please. That is all I have no more.
This grossed me out so hard, I had a panic attack.
