Triptykon Ticket Giveaway

In addition to Triptykon, Tom G. Warrior’s post-Celtic Frost outfit (and keepers of one of 2010′s best records in Eparistera Daimones), you’ll also catch longtime Norwegian technical black metal experimentalists 1349 and progressive Haunting The Chapel regulars Yakuza (also owners of one of the year’s best metal records, Of Seismic Consequence). As mentioned previously, HTC is co-sponsoring this “Weltenbrand Tour” with Decibel. Which is why I have tickets to give away — to any show on the itinerary, Tulsa. That itinerary:

If you want them, send an email to me with the subject line “Triptykon Ticket Giveaway.” THE LINES ARE CLOSED I’ll pick five winners at random and contact them by noon EST tomorrow (9/30). It goes without saying, Warrior’s brilliant live. (And remember how excited I was about Yakuza in Austin last year…) But if you need to get into the mood first, take a listen to a track from Eparistera Daimones:

Also, keep watch for the band’s five-song Shatter EP out 10/25 via Century Media. It closes with a live take on “Dethroned Emperor” featuring guest vocals from Darkthrone’s Nocturno Culto.

UPDATE: We’ve decided to offer five more pairs of tickets, again to any show on the itinerary. If you’d like to enter, please comment below with your favorite Tom G. Warrior album. From any of his bands or periods … I’ll choose five winners at noon EST on Tuesday, 10/5. The winners have been selected, contacted.

  4. I’m gonna go with Monotheist. Very stoked for this tour!

  5. Monotheist—doom and goth metal married together!!!

  6. I’d have to agree with Monotheist. After 4 years it still gets better every time I hear it. So hard to choose though.

  7. Another one for Monotheist, that album never gets old.

  8. It’s all about Morbid Tales for me. Looking forward to the Baltimore show.

  13. Morbid Tales all the way!

  14. Morbid Tales! How can you beat it? You can’t! Every track makes it perfect.

  15. Eparistera Daimones is the heaviest album ever composed by Tom Gabriel Fischer! Can’t wait to see Triptykon live on their first show on US soil (NYC).

  16. Morbid Tales.

  17. Morbid Tales! Completely psyched for the Tucson, AZ show!

  18. I have to say that earlier records hold a special place in my heart, however MONOTHEIST would be my favorite Tom G. Warrior release. I believe history will show that it’s his Sistine Chapel. A an absolute masterpiece – top to bottom.

Applying for St. Paul, MN concert….

  19. Into the Pandemonium
