The Twilight Singers - "Blackbird And The Fox" (Feat. Ani DiFranco)

The first single from the forthcoming Twilight Singers collection is a slow-burn duet between Greg Dulli and Ani DiFranco called “Blackbird And The Fox.” It’s unclear who plays which animal.

The album’s out in early 2011 via Sub Pop. More info when we have it. Until then Dulli launches his “An Evening with Greg Dulli” tour next month. We’re told “Dulli will lead his band through a wide selection of songs encompassing his entire career, including some new songs off the Twilight Singers’ 2011 record.” Get the dates at thetwilightsingers.com.

  1. Come On Dulli! Not even 3 minutes long?

  2. Also, I hope you moved on from doing douchey Timberlake songs in your live set. Go back to what you know, Prince, Temptations, etc…

  3. Ha ha, I’m sorry you’ve had your patience tested by his own decisions as a live performer! You should try getting ahold of him before the concert and make sure he’s not going to do something he wants to do during his show. Also, if you’re up to it (and it appears as if you truly are), please inform him that any future personal recordings should try to exceed the 3 minute mark.

Your lousy brain should have been restricted from even listening to this song in the first place. Have you anymore worthless opinions to refer stereogum.com to?

  4. Ehhhhh there’s a few.
