With “Grinding The Knife Blade,” Goes Cube have deviated from their more customary song titling approach — see “Song 57,” Song 46,” “Song 30” — creating one of only a few of their tracks that doesn’t include the word “song” or a numerical designation. Congratulations, sirs. It’s also our first taste of the New York trio’s forthcoming 13-track Another Day Has Passed, their first full-length for new label home The End. Even with the new titling approach, they haven’t shifted the unpretentious hard rock, a catchy, heavy, angular and knotty sound more than suitable for fans of Torche, Foo Fighters, Big Business, Unwound, etc. Or, well, fans of Goes Cube.

Expect Another Day Has Passed this Spring via The End. And expect the band live before that:

Haptic cube lets you feel tomorrow's temps
An Arduino controller connected to the cube is the brains behind the operations. As the concept goes, the user enters location information into a web application. The cube is automatically adjusted to the temperature according to the next-day forecast.
Beyond the White Cube: Rosson Crow in Black and White
Same goes for her studio, a space in which I could've easily spent ... I very much look forward to seeing all the new work hanging side-by-side in a white cube space. Paintings for Zac Posen Yasmine Mohseni: Tell me about your upcoming exhibition.

Has anyone listened to this kind of music since 1998? Anyone outside of San Dimas, that is?
