A few months ago I made a public plea to get the Decemberists to play my wedding. Turns out, a friend of Ray and Audrey knows Colin and offered to ask him for me. She did, and they said no (but they were flattered).
Oh well.
I still love them. Here’s a previously unreleased song from the new KRS Tracks and Fields comp.

I feel the same way about !!! – I want them to play my wedding… so if anyone knows them…
personally, i’m hoping i can con john roderick of the long winters will play my wedding. i’ve got a year and a half to work on him. i’ve joked about it, but maybe now i’ll really try.
(i’d kill to have the decemberists too, but i’m thinking it might be more feasable to transport one person to the wilds of west texas, but not a whole band!)
someone asked us to play their wedding but we couldn’t do it because it was in the UK and i have this whole WORK thing, where i market bath products that smell like old ladies.
you want !!! to play your wedding? What the?
The decemebrists would be great fun, and I bet they would put a good spin on all the wedding classics like “celebration” and all that. Nice choice.
>> you want !!! to play your wedding? What the?
What’s wrong with that? They should play NY weekly, COMPULSORY – people in this city need to shake their ass more. FACT. Have you heard their new track “Shitsheissemerde” – AMAZING.
we’re getting hollertronix to deejay our wedding (date not yet set because boy has not asked but we’ve discussed the topic at length). also, brian molloy because i like that late 80′s brit pop junk.
We had the Coctails verbally on board to play ours, but they broke up prior to our setting the date.
Now that would have been a good time.
a wedding ain’t a wedding unless you got insane clown posse up in that piece.
aw man! that would have been awesome! i totally would have crashed.
When are you getting married? And WHY?!?!!
THANK YOU SOOOO MUCH FOR THE SONG!
im seeing them again in june at the metro in chicago. they really are the best thing out there right now!
We tried to get the Reverend Horton Heat to marry us, but he was out of town.
