By far one of the best soul singers around right now. And how can you think that man is gay? Even if he were, it wouldn’t change the fact that he makes some sexy music.
I never said he was gay, nor do I think he is. I’m just pointing out that when male celebrities are inundated by rumors about their sexual orientation, they tend to do stupid shit like this to prove otherwise. From my personal perspective, there seems to be a huge stigma behind being perceived as gay in the black community, as opposed to someone like Justin Timberlake who thrives on riding that line.
And I think that as far as the male soul genre goes, his music is better than all of his contemporaries.
He’s been doing this sort of thing a lot lately… probably to prove he’s not gay!
Get Lifted and Once Again are both modern soul masterpieces. That’s what I’ll say about his music.
