I had a hunch the video for this song would have animals in it. In this animated clip, lil’ Neko’s at a stitch ‘n bitch inside the belly of a killer whale when she’s shot out of its blowhole onto a flying Greyhound. Basic alt country stuff. I won’t ruin the middle (cyclone) for you, but she ends up back inside the Orca. Seawolf got a lot of nerve.

Another one like Blacklisted, please. You’re a fucking genius, Case. It’s OK to resume acting like one any time you like.
Grobian, I agree with you that Blacklisted is an amazing record but how you could have no love for Fox Confessor and Middle Cyclone (and still feel she is a genius) is beyond me. Maybe give them another listen, because I wouldn’t call anything this woman’s ever done a “dud”. Great video, too.

I think every album after Blacklisted just takes some getting used to, just see it as three sides of Neko Case at once. It took me a really long time to like Fox Confessor but now i really love it. I’m kind of at that point with Middle Cyclone but it will work itself out.
I’m still head-over-heels in love with ‘Blacklisted.’ ‘Fox Confessor’ and ‘Middle Cyclone’ are pleasant enough but they’re not as engaging. I tend to tune out and they become pleasant background music. Not that there’s anything wrong with that…
All her records are amazing, and different from each other. MIddle Cyclone may be the nest one yet, and I don’t say that lightly. Canadian Amp was pretty aces too…
