Watch Basement Jaxx's Orchestral Gig

This Friday, following on the heels of Micachu’s orchestral experimentation, Basement Jaxx teamed up with the Dutch Metropole Orkest for their own classical collaboration. It took place at Holland’s Muziekgebouw Eindhoven. London composer/conductor Jules Buckley piloted the players and singers through versions of “Red Alert,” “Where’s Your Head At,” “Good Luck,” “Raindrops,” and new material Felix Buxton wrote for the night. Here’s video of “Good Luck.”

The above is the footage Basement Jaxx posted at their site. If you want to dig deeper, you’ll find a number of additional clips at Evileef18′s YouTube channel.

  1. Amazing! I wish the Jaxx had a bigger following here in the US. This show could never happen here. They couldn’t even bring their Scars tour here, they just did a few dj nights. They are such a fantastic live band too. :-/

  2. Is that Labelle?
