The Decemberists 2010

The band visited the KCRW show “Morning Becomes Eclectic” yesterday to do some songs from The King Is Dead as well as this cover from R.E.M. The original appears on 1986′s Lifes Rich Pageant. “Cuyahoga” refers to the Cuyahoga River in Ohio, a river so polluted it’s caught fire over 13 times (water quality has improved since the sixties). 1. Excellent.

  2. So awesome.

  3. Ohhh, it’s “We knee-skinned it, you and me?” I suppose that makes more sense than “We need skin, a human need.”

  4. I always thought he was singing “weenie skin” …

  5. Really good
