When we first posted “Duh x 12” alongside “Balding College Girls,” I mentioned Kevin Alvir’s fuzzy home recordings reminded me of something you’d find on a cassette-only pop label in the mid ’90s or, maybe, a twee Wavves, a less punked-up/still snotty Cloud Nothings, an extremely polite Happy Flowers. The project’s mostly Alvir, though Alex Naidus of Pains Of Being Pure At Heart adds bass on occasion. He’s nowhere to be seen in this a-man-and-his-Internet “Duh x 12″ video. The clip was directed by Dean Fleischer-Camp, the co-creator of Marcel The Shell. It’s kind of like /\/\ /\ Y /\‘s info-overdrive album cover colliding with a simpler emo storyline. Pay attention.
Don’t forget “Jack Becomes A Policewoman.”
