Burial – “Stolen Dog” & “Street Halo”

Hyperdub label head Kode9 stopped into the Benji B’s BBC show and played lots of forthcoming music from his label, though as the self-described “Burial purist” says (presumably in response to those “Ego”/”Mirror” collabs with Thom Yorke and Four Tet, but also because Untrue came ages ago): it’s nice to hear some new solo Burial material. “Street Halo” and “Stolen Dog” are two of the songs on Burial’s forthcoming 12″, due next week, both pitching lady vocals into an understated and rumbling spook/sadness matrix. Check ‘em:
