Washed Out - Within And Without

That Washed Out’s Ernest Greene named his Sub Pop/full-length debut Within and Without and paired it with that above image gives you a good idea of the album’s overall sound. When not making like Usher, he left the bedroom and recorded with Ben Allen, who co-produced Merriweather Post Pavillion, Halcyon Digest, and St. Elsewhere, among other things. The nine-song collection opens with “Eyes Be Closed.” Like most of Within, it “shimmers.”

  4. So dope. Heard two tracks and they are every bit as good as the Life of Leisure stuff. Possible album of the year contender.
