New Hayden – “Where And When”

We haven’t thought of Hayden for a long while. Not because we don’t like the Canadian alt folkster, but because he hasn’t released anything new in ages. Thankfully, 2004’s Elk-Lake Seranade wasn’t to be Paul Hayden Desser’s last peep. He’s back, here, and so far it’s a warm welcome: “Where And When” from his forthcoming, fifth LP In Field & Town has an appealing down-home clappin’ vibe to it. Maybe Jack Johnson for people who… You get it and can hear it post jump. Trading hair secrets with Wayne Coyne…

Sounds like he borrows Zach Condon’s horn section for the rousing finale. Nice.

In Field & Town is out in Canada 1/15 on Hardwood Records. U.S. release still in the works.

Bonus oldies:
Hayden – “Dynamite Walls” (MP3)
Hayden – “Bass Song (Live At Convocation Hall)” (MP3)
