Lonely Island in Africa

In February, AFAR Magazine invited The Lonely Island’s Jorma Taccone to participate in Spin The Globe, a series that sends a writer to a random foreign destination in exchange for a written dispatch about his or her journey. Jorm ended up in Kenya for six days, and met a rapper named Kaka Sungura (AKA Rabbit) in Nairobi. Together the new friends made a Lonely Island-style digital short which is part straightforward Rabbit promo, part “Jizz In My Pants”-in-Africa. It’s pretty great.

The Lonely Island’s Turtleneck And Chain is out now.

  1. NICE. My company totally made that Laser Cats t-shirt Jorma is wearing in the intro. Also, “THE LION KING!”

  2. SNL woulda been so great the past few years if Jorma was a cast member, not just a writer.

Also for anyone interested in some Lonely Island mashups, dubsteps, and synth remixes, download: The Lonely Island ReMixtape
