Aside from some promotional clips and late night performances, this is the first real video from Jenny’s latest solo endeavor. At Bonnaroo this weekend it seemed she and her buddy Elvis Costello were never more than 10 paces from each other, but this “Black Sand” vid is just Jenny, projected over beachy scenes, deserts, Thailand, and weather maps. She’s everywhere.
Acid Tongue is out.

I love this woman, but this is utterly BORING. ‘Twould have been much more successful in my eyes with more footage of Jenny in swimwear.
jack killed mom is the best song on Acid Tongue. it might actually be the best song of the year, in my opinion.
but yes, this is a boring music video.
this was for sure less than entertaining, but i guess the effect they put on her is kinda cool. really not a good song for a video though.
should have made a video for Pretty Bird…alas, none of her videos will measure up to Rise Up…that was just flawless in my opinion.

i thought this was really cool and vintage-y. It matches the feel of her new album. Plus who doesn’t want millions of Jenny’s coming at them?
Not to say I don’t adore the video or the song, but this seems like a quite random song to put a video to. I can practically see a Jack Killed Mom video in my head, and I’ve been PRAYING for an Acid Tongue video. This song is kinda repetitive, kinda repetitive, kinda repetitiiiiiive.
