Music Critic/Ui co-founder (and, full disclosure, associate) Sasha Frere-Jones remixed Georgia underground legends Pylon’s “Yo-Yo” twice by adding a number of new elements, including vocals by Sleigh Bells frontwoman Alexis Krauss. His “Yo-Yo (Calvinist Saved Remix)” will be available as the B-Side of a limited-edition 7″ that finds longtime/outspoken Pylon fans Deerhunter covering the band’s 1980 single “Cool” on side A. Stream the whole thing, including “Yo-Yo (The Calvinist Unsaved Remix),” which I’m guessing is for the digital version of the release:

“Cool” b/w “Yo-Yo (Calvinist Remix)” is out 7/28 via DFA.
