Elite Gymnastics - Ruin

Minneapolis-based band/production team and Cruel Summer lynchpins Elite Gymnastics have posted a new, free release to the web, which they tell us “is like two EPs i guess they are like pokemon black and white very #rare collect them all or not whichever.” The 11-track Ruin collection in fact spans two volumes that mirror each other: the first set is six tracks of occasionally hazed and new wave tracks that, at 100 to 140BPM and an athletic pulse are otherwise perfectly calibrated for clubs or intense aerobics; the second recasts mostly the same songs in half-time, making it a sorta chopped and screwed sequel/companion for the cooldown or the comedown, depending on your lifestyle choices.

Download both volumes of the Ruin EP over at Elite Gymnastics’ Tumblr. Two choice tracks — “o m a m o r i” and “h e r e, i n h e a v e n” are h e r e:

  1. Freakin awesome. I liked some of their earlier stuff, but this stuff is a huge improvement to their neo-90′s rave sound. Can’t wait for what they release in the future, but for now i will overplay and completely obsess over Ruin!

  2. Awesome!

I missed out on the free downloads, though. Can anyone help???
