Strange Mercy is out 9/13 via 4AD. Clark’s going on a related tour, though before she does folks in the New York area can catch her (and preview of the new material) at the first-ever rooftop concert in the Iris and B. Gerald Cantor Roof Garden at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. That takes place 8/ 25. More details on that soon. More dates here:

  2. this is a total leap, but I wonder if “Year of the Tiger’ will have any connection to Sufjan Stevens’ “Enjoy your Rabbit” LP, being that all the songs on that LP followed the pattern of “Enjoy your *animal name*”, and because St.Vincent used to be a ‘member’ of the backup band Sufjan used for performances and recording. Hmmm.
