CNN’s Anderson Cooper has the coolest “bump” music in cable news, and he knows it. When PAGE SIX mentioned that ’70s art-rock band Television’s “Marquee Moon” played as Cooper cut to a commercial earlier that day, he admitted that he and his staff take pride in their “bump” picks. “Our theme song is by a punk band from Boston called Flin Flon,” he said. “We try to use different bump music every week. We play ‘Radio Clash’ by the Clash a lot. I have much cooler people than me helping pick the songs, but I help. We just interviewed Bono and he seemed to like it.”

I liked Anderson Cooper better back in the Channel 1 days, when they would send his ass off to Africa hoping he would get killed.
Seems to me that Cooper is a guy who just can not get over how hip he thinks he is. With his smarmy little jokes, he thinks he is a “Real News” version of Jon Stewart. Except without all that comedic talent. Seriously, I don’t need or want hipsters delivering the news. For me, a hipster is someone who obsesses over things that are ephemeral and not particularly important – the very opposite of what I want in a journalist.

Yeah Andersons the man, CNN needed him and hopefully they’ll get some new, fresh anchors in their line up, cuz if I have to even see Judy Woodruff anymore I might just die. She reminds me of the late 1930′s and they really need to let her go and get a more solid primetime lineup.

As far as I know, Anderson has never come out and said he was gay – this is just something that many people have heard about him – he’s so private; if he is involved with anyone, it will probably never be known – he’s managed to keep it quiet this long.

A few days ago I listened to Anderson Cooper speak about the situation in New Orleans, saying everything he wanted without holding back, but in a way that was too polite to notice he was dissing the federal government. From that moment I was blown away, and while I found myself attracted to him, there was something holding me back. I can read people well, and there was something that he just wasn’t coming out with. A few days later and I know what it is. He is gay. I just googled him to find out if he has a girlfriend but he never has.

Anderson has a Welsh Springer Spaniel named Molly. He had her on his show last year. I have no doubt that he’s gay but that doesn’t stop me from crushing on him. I had the thought after seeing him on tv to see if he was indeed gay. I think he is most definately; but really need the facts and proof.

Yesterday (Wednesday, September 21) he was broadcasting from Galveston and he was wearing a light blue button down shirt and you really couldn’t see anything but his pale white skin, and it was turning me on!
