Fool’s Gold is Luke Top and Lewis Pesacov, with assists from folks in fellow L.A. outfits Foreign Born and Glasser. Last seen here opening for Cat Power, we then mentioned they touted “love for benga (Kenya-based), juju (rooted in Nigeria), and the Congolese genre called soukous (mother of kwassa kwassa, maybe you’ve heard of it).” Here we see them in a montage of performances on the sun-streaked Afro-pop of their buzzy single “Surprise Hotel.” Apparently they’re singing in Hebrew, but of course they are.
Here’s the MP3 (via FADER.com):

Thanks for sharing the mp3 of this song!
I just hear about them, I’ve looked the video of “Surprise Hotel” and I’m really glad of their music.
I’ll follow them, and want to get the disc on my hands.
Regards, from a new fan of México!
