Band Of Horses

Infinite Arms, Band Of Horses’ last album, came out about 16 months ago. But maybe they should’ve called it Infinite Promotional Cycle, since they’re still out there working the thing. Last night, they showed up on Conan to perform the title track. Watch it below, and respect Ben Bridwell’s onstage whistling game.

Conan looks a bit tired these days, doesn’t he?

i never thought i’d say this, but i miss the O.G. ‘gum clowns! seriously, did amrit and co. just peace after someone filled the “intern” job description? i guess reposting p4k / flavor of the music vid links isn’t exactly hard anyway (after all it was a “work from home” intern ad, right?), but come on. i almost MISS amrit’s cluttered, overreaching writing, cause trust me, it’s a lot better than jokes like “Infinite Promotional Cycle” (ugh)

    • Don’t worry dude, I’m not going anywhere. And frankly I’m sad you didn’t mention “jokes” in that laundry list of mine! That’s where my classic overreaching comes in. I never thought I’d say THIS, but what happened to the O.G. ‘gum hecklers? At least the “you are pretentious, go back to India”s of yesteryear had some flavor. (I do admire your adhering to Stereogum-style and using an apostrophe before “‘Gum.” Respect where it is due!)

Sadly, we still haven’t secured any interns around here.
Happily, Tom and Corban are bringing enough energy and wit for a factory’s worth.
Stick around a bit and stay calm, I am sure you will love it around here, ddog.

(Also, I am not an intern. I am compensated for my efforts. I can do cluttered and overreaching, though. Promise.)

  3. that pic of Conan shows how tired and useless he’s become by pedaling this dad-rock crap…

“I am compensated for my efforts.”

cool. what do u they pay u?

  5. I am not trying to be an ass; I really like this band. They look AWFUL. Are they all on heroin or something? Ryan and Creighton have both dropped like half their body weight, and the rest of the guys look fvcking skeletal. Ben normally has some pipes, but he sounded pretty rough here. Hard song to play live, but still.

These guys need a little time off to get their shit together.
