On the heels of “Crying Lightning” and seeing the Arctic Monkeys on a boat, the band’s Humbug LP offers up another dark and dense serving via “My Propeller.” It’s another listen of a band maturing, a brooding minor-key rocker that again shows the gritty touch of its producer, Josh Homme. Alex is looking for a little help getting his propeller started (ladies). Get involved, he’s looking good these days.

    Wow, that is good…these sessions with Homme have turned out better than I thought the could. Love the less Strokes-esque sound.

    This song is great. I’m really excited for the album. Pissed off about the whole presale business at the Highline though. I really hope they come back to NY.
