Jack White & Insane Clown Posse – “Mountain Girl”

By Tom Breihan / September 19, 2011

This past weekend, Jack White’s Raconteurs and the Insane Clown Posse were both on the bill at Brooklyn’s MI Fest, so we were hoping for a live debut of “Leck Mich Im Arsch,” the out-of-nowhere White/ICP collab. That didn’t happen, but here’s a consolation prize: “Mountain Girl,” the B-side of the “Leck Mich Im Arsch” 7″. This one is a twangy country ramble about a girl with meth issues who doesn’t mind banging on piles of dung, and the old-school country backing track makes ICP’s delivery sound like standard-issue Nashville talk-singing rather than rapping. It’s a whole other thing to wrap your brain around. Listen below.

I have to imagine that Boondox, Psychopathic Records’ resident scary redneck rapper, is a bit annoyed that he didn’t get invited to contribute to this one.
