Death Cab For Cutie

Death Cab For Cutie’s new video for the Codes And Keys track “Stay Young, Go Dancing” takes the track’s title about as literally as possible. It shows a couple at four different stages of their life together, starting out with them as winsomely charming elderly folks and moving back in time to when they were winsomely charming little kids. This is one of those couples who seem to spend a lot of time dancing with each other outside. We all know couples like that, right? The clip also features a whole lot of Ben Gibbard playing guitar on a porch. Watch it below.

Hey, New York readers! Do you know what you guys are missing out on? Porches! None of you guys have porches, and that is too bad. Porches are great.

  1. Wait, what was that a commercial for?

  2. That was incredibly queer and I completely loved it. Death Cab just does what they do and they do it well. Best song on the album. It’s nice to see Ben Gibbard finally just being really happy.

  3. I agree, really really cheesy and sappy, but I like it.

  4. Going to send this link to my mum.

  5. What I want to know is what made the old man version cut his hair after a lifetime of long locks and the same plaid blue shirt.

  6. Would have been great if it were Zooey dancing with Ben. Oh well, still and amazing voice and band. Once a DCFC fan, always a DCFC fan.

  7. The kind of video you’d imagine with this song.

By the way, I’m a New York City reader and totally had a porch growing up.

  8. Lovely song and definitely lovely video. I may have a porche. Ben Gibbard looks weird up close. I had a overall too when I was a kid. That blonde guy looks like the guy from jj and the old man could never be the blonde guy when get old. The girl looks like Lyv Tyler. And that is all.

  9. There’s Sara Anne Jones doin’ her thing!

  10. Rest in peace, Sara Anne Jones. Beautiful.
