Foo Fighters And Roger Waters

Last night, the week-long tribute to Pink Floyd continued on Late Night With Jimmy Fallon, as Floyd co-founder Roger Waters stopped by and cranked out a one-time-only performance with the Foo Fighters as his backing band. Together, they took on “In The Flesh,” the rumbler from The Wall. The Foos totally and completely played backing-band duty; Dave Grohl didn’t even sing backup.

Waters also sat for an interview with a very enthusiastic Fallon. During that segment, he reminisced about his band’s early days and said nice things about the Shins’ cover of “Breathe” on the previous night’s show. Watch both the performance and the interview below.

Tonight, MGMT will be on the show to cover the Syd Barrett-era nugget “Lucifer Sam.”

  1. Jimmy Fallow is so fucking annoying.

  2. Is that Matt Groening behind them?

  3. I think they played In the Flesh?.
the sans question mark version is the one where Pink isn’t well, he stayed back at the hotel so he sent them along as a surrogate band to find out where the fans really stand.

  4. Yeah, that’s definitely “In the Flesh?,” “In the Flesh” would have been pretty awesome on network television, with all the fascist satire and the like. I’m disappointed.
