After giving us a sample of his new collection’s throwback orchestral pop title track, Norwegian songsmith Sondre Lerche offers up another listen to his forthcoming Heartbeat Radio. Lerche lets himself rock a little harder here, although it’s still rooted in tuneful and somewhat swirly pop, and offers wisdom on the nature of life’s little (mis)adventures: “Good luck, don’t you feel so bad / Just don’t get your hopes up / Luck whether good or band doesn’t come from justice.” I bet Sondre’s friends want nothing more than to hang out with him and his guitar when they’re having a rough night.
