Gorillaz - The Singles Collection

Hard to believe, but Gorillaz, Damon Albarn’s cartoon-pop project, has been going for 10 years now. In recent months, there have been rumblings that the project will soon come to an end, but it won’t disappear without releasing a greatest-hits album. Next month, they’ll release The Singles Collection: 2001-2011, and we’ve got the tracklist below.

The Singles Collection: 2001-2011 is out 11/29 on Virgin. It’ll be available as a CD/DVD combo, with all of the group’s videos included.

  1. Is it me, or is it weird when bands put out greatest hits albums with only three albums under their belt?

    • Not when they have sold over 20 million copies its not. but if you include the side albums, they have at least 6 albums, in which case we would be looking at the 25 million+ sales, with a few platinum albums. Though I get what you are saying, they don’t have that much material, but they are Particularly popular in Britain, USA, and Japan though, of which the former two have always being the great consumers of music, and the last a great consumer of music on the rise, so they actually have a fairly good chance at making a good amount of money out of this.
