Arcade Fire

The Bridge School Benefit began celebrating its 25th year yesterday with performances by Dave Matthews, Eddie Vedder, Beck, Arcade Fire, Mumford & Sons, and of course organizer Neil Young. Young joined fellow Canadians Arcade Fire for a stellar acoustic version of his “Helpless.” Watch and download:

AF’s Régine Chassagne also joined Eddie Vedder on “Tonight You Belong To Me.” Here’s that:

And Beck and Neil Young did “Pocahontas”:

The Bridge School Benefit continues today at Shoreline Amphitheatre in Mountain View. The 2CD Bridge School Concerts 25th Anniversary Edition is out Tuesday via Reprise.

  1. Saw the headline and thought they were covering the Sugar song.
    I AM DISAPPOINT.

  2. is it still a cover if they do it with the original singer? Isn’t this just “neil young plays “helpless” with help from the arcade fire”?

  3. do ya’ll hate photo credits?

  4. I want a new Beck studio album NOW!

Either way, looked like a nice cup of coffee and a good performance of one of my favorite Young songs, from my favorite Young album.
