Streets' Mike Skinner Launches The Dot

From the ashes of two bands — Mike Skinner’s the Streets and Robert Harvey’s the Music — comes the Dot, a collaborative effort from Skinner and Harvey that has already posted a series of official tracks on the Dot’s website. The Streets’ final show happens next month at the UK’s the Big Reunion festival.

  1. God I am gonna miss The Streets. Especially Original Pirate Material and A Grand Don’t Come for Free Streets (not so much Computers and Blues Streets). The tracks are alright, too bad Skinner hasn’t contributed a verse to any of the tracks, but at least his signature garage-style production is present.

  2. Just so everyone knows The Music was amazing. One of the best bands ever gone largely unnoticed and unappreciated. Check out their songs “Take the Long Road and Walk It”, “Getaway”, “Welcome to the North” and “The Spike”.
