Well, it’s quite obviously 52nd Street, as it’s the best album of all time.
The Stranger
Storm Front for sure. You can tell there is a lot of feeling put into that album. The lyrics are exceptional and I love the story’s they tell.
River of Dreams
river of dreams
the stranger definitely. vienna is my favorite song by far.
52nd Street.
The Nylon Curtain
The stranger!
I’m gonna have to agree with the consensus here…The Stranger easily.
The Stranger
Turnstiles
How can I choose just one? If I had to choose, it would be The Stranger. Sort of like choosing one’s child over the other.
My favorite would definitely be An Innocent Man!
The Stranger
My favorite album by Billy Joel has to Turnstiles. I can’t get enough of this 80′s classic. I love all of BJ’s albums, but this one has a special place in my heart. I can listen to this baby back to back for a whole day, and still want to hear it again the next day. Billy is the man!!
The Stranger!!
Storm Front for me.
An Innocent Man!
glass houses
Billy’s best album among many great ones is Piano Man. All of the tracks are good and most are great.
Storm Front! It was my main jam when I was little. Still love it.
my roomate’s sister makes $68 every hour on the computer. She has been without a job for 6 months but last month her pay was $8123 just working on the computer for a few hours. Read about it on this web site zapit.nu/1gW
Turnstiles.
The Stranger
River Of Dreams
Glass Houses
The Stranger, now and forever.
The Stranger
The answer is The Stranger, but I’m gonna say The Nylon Curtain just because I feel like it’s under-represented.
ok imma go out here on a limb and just say
Turnstiles
The Stranger
The Stranger
“The Stranger” and “The Bridge” (simply because “Temptation” might be the greatest love song ever written)
I grew up on An Innocent Man. Nylon Curtain was my introduction to Mr. Joel. But to be honest, the album I listed to the most was Greatest Hits Volume I & Volume II. My family would play that tape on our weekend ski trips all the time.
The Stranger
Streetlife Serenade.
Piano Man // I have too many memories [albeit vague ones] tied to “Captain Jack”.
The Stranger. So somber, so touching, so real.
The Stranger
They’re all great but I think River of Dreams takes top for me. It coincided with my senior year of high school, what has so far been the highlight of my life. As such, it tied in with a lot of really good memories that I can bring back just by hitting play.
The Stranger. Movin’ Out (Anthony’s Song) one of my all time favs!
Turnstiles
Glass Houses <3
Definitely, The Stranger
Turnstiles… the perfect mix of ballad and piano magic
First album was the stranger, and probably is still my fav. 52nd street was next, as it was my first rock music concert Fri the 13th of Oct 1978 Chicago stadium. After that I was hooked – a Billy Joel fan for life!
The Stranger!
I love many, but because my favorite song NYSOM is on it, I’ll HAVE to say “Turnstiles”. =)
Turnstiles. ‘Angry Young Man’ made me start playing piano.
Glass Houses
River of Dreams!
Turnstiles. The writing is so consistent compared to what came before it. Minus an odd song or two before hand, Turnstiles is where he really came into his own.
New York State of Mind, Say Goodbye to Hollywood, Angry Young Man, Summer Highland Falls, I’ve Loved These Days, and Miami 2017 are all amazing songs.
Has anyone listened to the millenium concert? A lot of great versions of classics.
River Of Dreams
The Stranger
The Stranger
Definitely have to be River of Dreams simply because, after all the legend has done, he topped it off with what I think is up there with his greatest hits!
The Stranger
Wow, this is a hard question to answer since the 80′s was Billy Joel’s niche in life. I would say Innocent Man because the songs were on the radio most of the time. And this got me to be a Billy Joel fan at a young age. Storm Front would have been my next pick. When you hear albums that came out when you were younger. Just seems magical!
52nd Street remains my all-time favourite album. Nothing even comes close…
Nylon Curtain (with Glass Houses and Songs In The Attic being a close second and third)
The Stranger. It’s the first Billy Joel LP I bought.
Favorite album has to be The Nylon Curtain. Love all of Billy’s albums but that one is so twisted and different.
Glass Houses :-)
Nylon Curtain is easily my favorite!
The Stranger, absolutely. :-)
52nd Street
Stranger and 52nd St
River of Dreams!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Storm Front
My favorite Billy Joel album is definitely Piano Man – it was the soundtrack to my teenage years, and forever engrained Billy Joel into my musical psyche.
52nd Street! Love the lyrics and instrumentals.
Easily Glass Houses
Can’t decide between Piano Man and Songs in the Attic. Anything by Billy Joel is something to be savored. His music spans the generations whether upbeat or ballad. LOVE HIS MUSIC!!
