New Orleans weed-rap king Curren$y has just initiated Sir Michael Rocks, the better-at-rapping half of the Cool Kids, into his Jet Life crew. To celebrate, the two of them recently got together to record a freestyle over the Ghostface/Jadakiss energy-bomb classic “Run.” It’s weird to hear these guys sounding so calm and heavy-lidded over a beat this frantic, but we are talking about two strong rappers and a great beat, and somehow it all works. Listen to it below.

  1. This reminds me of him using Rick Ross’s “Pandemonium” on his last mixtape. like you say his flow goes better with more mellow stuff, but this is pretty dank. Did not know about the Jet Life album.. lookin forward to Young Roddy and Trademark gettin some more air time and hoping that they use Ski Beatz on every track!

  2. “the better-at-rapping half of the Cool Kids” Tom, are you forreal?

“aint got class til later so, open garage. and i dont really know which way to go, i aint tryin to skate it though andmybike’sillegalsotheysentforthe law”

  3. Heard rumors of a tape from Michael and Spitta Spicoli looking forward to that though.
