Andrew Bird 2011 by Cameron Wittig

It’s been a little while since we’ve heard from whistling indie-pop heartthrob; Noble Beast, his last album, dropped in 2009. Bird will return 3/6 with a new album called Break It Yourself, coming out on Mom + Pop. Bird produced the album himself, recording it in Western Illinois, the opposite side of the state from his Chicago hometown.

And Bird will spend the next few months touring around North America; we’ve got his dates below.

  1. No Los Angeles date, but in Oakland April 13th, and Arizona April 20th? Looks like someone is a lock for Coachella.

  2. it’s been a little while? he just soundtracked a movie! Norman, while mostly instrumental / peppered with already-released songs, is a solid listen too!
