Seattle BTW Throw Me The Statue offer a playful video for the bouncy, Built To Spill-y Creaturesque track “Hi-Fi Goon.” In it, the guys skip out on breakfast to catch an escaped elephant, stopping by a junk shop for the proper safari gear, learning some martial arts moves, and following hunks o’ dung and other markers around town. They end up with snaring different prey, which ultimately kick-starts another hunt. The clip was directed by Jason Argyropoulos at Tree Filmworks.

I can’t get enough of Creaturesque!
Very nice. Thanks for the heads up, Stereogum.
Nice song, great clip. It was the clip that piqued my interest and had me listening to the whole song rather than my usual 10 second sample to see what happened next. Nice job Mr Director guy now I’ve got Hi-Fi Goon stuck in my head and have to download it. Don’t you know there’s a recession on?
This song is dope…gonna have to check out more from them now.
Haha, that was great! Love this song. Nice job by the director to show him mouthing during the breakdown otherwise my ears would glaze over the “woos.” WHat label are they on?
Doug Martsch must be flattered.
