Beach Boys Reunite For 50th Anniv LP, Tour

For the 50th anniversary of the Beach Boys, the group (which includes Brian Wilson for the first time in like, forever) is thinking big; 2012 will not only see a new LP from the iconic band as well as a series of reissues for classic Beach Boys LPs, the band will also head out on a 50-stop international tour. The tour begins in April at New Orleans’ Jazz Fest. Look out for the LP next year on Capitol/EMI.

  1. Without Dennis and Carl, it really isn’t the Beach Boys. Brian Wilson and Al Jardine should not have agreed to be a part of what is no doubt a final cash-in by Mike Love. The two of them have been annoyed with Mike Love forever. I wonder what he said to convince them to do this.

  2. that horse and aboriginal man are good analogy to the functioning of the band and the surf’s up cover – from dysfunctional greatness and tragedy to disneyesque, artificial bullshit. Gotta finish my english paper.

Still excited for the new album doe.
