Morrissey on Google Earth

Well, somebody‘s being cute. As the Verge reports, enterprising landscape architect Ste Allan has inserted a pixelated image of Morrissey, in classic Smiths-era recline, on Google Earth’s “your world in 3D” feature. In SketchUp, Allan created a 3D model of the Salford Lads Club, a Manchester landmark featured in the “Stop Me If You’ve Heard This One Before” video and the inside cover of The Queen Is Dead. To see it, click here and enable the 3D mode. Other Google-friendly goofs have also put images of the Blues Brothers and Crocodile Hunter Steve Irwin into their appropriate locations.
