As you might have concluded after hearing its 11-minute title track “Dimensional Bleedthrough,” Krallice’s second full-length takes a long time to unpack and absorb. The collection’s least knotty song, “The Mountain,” features bassist (and album art collagist) Nick McMaster taking over vocal duties from Mick Barr, his heavier bellow fitting the song’s (relatively speaking) straightforward pummel. In context, these three minutes and change offer a death-y change of pace and work as a kind of breath-catching mosh transition before you climb an actual mountain, the almost 12-minute “Intraum.”
