  1. Sounds like Nada Surf.

  2. I’ve always thought of Nada Surf as being musical comfort food, but judging by this and “When I Was Young,” they may have reached the point where they’re too bland. At least Lucky was promoted by “See These Bones,” which had a bit of bite to it.

  3. I have filmed Matthew Caws inside a museum and he sings this song ! :) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QTVTuyBvPM0

  4. It’s funny, I kind of agree with the musical comfort food comment, but disagree that the music is “too bland.” To me, they are just grown up. They’ve hit a groove. Their songs are from an interesting perspective and are generally optimistic / curious / thoughtful. I’m excited for this album and grateful for the work that these guys do. That said, I’m also pretty invested in their work so probably a bit more forgiving than I would be for a newer band.

  5. Nada surf is my favorite band, but I do feel this song is a bit lacking and bland. I love when i was young, and i feel the progression is in the right direction, and back to a more proximity effect/high low sound.
I like to think of nada surf as a lifetime journey and they really do put their lives into their songs, and how having kids changes things. How you can pine for the past and be fine with present at the same time.
