Tanlines - Mixed Emotions

The Twit-wits of Tanlines — vocalist/guitarist Eric Emm and the Verified @tanlines himself, Jesse Cohen — have formally announced their new LP Mixed Emotions and released a promotional MP3 also. The song is called “Brothers,” which they revealed (VIA TWITTER) “was the name of the studio where we started Tanlines, but I think the song is a good idea of where we are right now.” Take that aurally (synth-pop of the bittersweet, balmy, beachy variety) or literally (Jesse and Eric are like family!). But either way, please take it. (Hat tip Henny Youngman):

Mixed Emotions was recorded in studios all over NYC and mixed in Miami by Jimmy Douglass (Timbaland, Aaliyah). It’s out 3/20 via True Panther, where you can pre-order it.

  1. Hard to imagine that it’s been about three or four years since their first single, but they’re just getting around to putting out a full-length. I’m not complaining, though — If time is what they needed to make songs like this, I’m glad they kept us waiting.
