Lana Del Rey - "Born To Die" Single

After this weekend’s by-all-accounts disastrous Saturday Night Live performance, the once-ascendent Lana Del Rey is riding a serious wave of negative buzz — bad timing when you consider that this isn’t her first such wave, and that her album is still a couple of weeks away from release. She needs help! And now she has at least a measure of it. Haze-rap producer of the moment Clams Casino and French singer/songwriter/LDR buddy Woodkid have both done radically different remixes of her single “Born To Die,” and you can hear both below.

“Born To Die (Clams Casino Remix)”:

The “Born To Die” single is out 1/23 on Interscope.

  1. Say what you will about her but no one deny that she is our generations Lennon/McCartney

  2. a rare miss, clams casino.

  3. You talk about negative vibes this like you’re surprised… if you’d been on the money in the first place (or listened to your readership) you’d have shredded her to pieces long ago. Instead, Stereogum = Pitchfork.

    • thumbs up – i like how the description of the snl performance went from “it was pretty rough” to “by-all-accounts disastrous” in the span of a few days

      stereogum = spineless hype machine

  4. This sounds like Clams Casino is playing a joke on Lana Del Rey.

  5. Damn, the Woodkid Remix is pretty awesome. Between it and the Jamie Woon remix of “Video Games” there might just be hope for her yet.

  6. Clams Casino remix is stunning. In the very best of ways.
