The Chieftains - Voice Of Ages

As previously reported, Voice Of Ages, the new album from the long-running Irish folk-music institution the Chieftains, features collaborations with people like Bon Iver and the Decemberists. And now we can hear Bon Iver’s contribution to the project: A take on the traditional Appalachian murder ballad “Down In The Willow Garden.” It sounds exactly like Justin Vernon singing Irish folk; nobody with that falsetto could murder that dear little girl. Listen below.

Voice Of Ages is out 2/21 on Hear/Concorde.
