On songs like “Fantastic Explosion Of Time,” Australia’s POND mixes big licks and psychedelic vibes in a way that recalls some of the Beatles’ more far-out stuff. They’ll probably never escape the continuous comparison to Tame Impala — they do, after all, share two members — but I can’t necessarily see how that’s a bad thing. Recently, the group dropped their new single “Moth Wings,” an uptempo ripper. Stream it down below, and it’s yours for keeps if you sign up for the mailing list.
