“Girlfriend” (or, “Chewing Gum II”) was the first we’ve heard from Anne Lilia Berge Strand in a few years. We missed you Annie! The Norwegian dance pop star sounds and looks terrific, as demonstrated in this very colorful clip which appeared online briefly last week (hopefully it’s now here to stay). This first single from A’s forthcoming Don’t Stop (out in July) is produced by longtime collaborator Richard X; according to Wiki, he and Annie also have a cover Stacey Q’s “Two Of Hearts” planned. Girls Aloud, Franz Ferdinand, and Datarock are rumored to appear on the album as well. So you gonna dump your girlfriend or what?

Aww, I don’t know how I feel about this. What a weird 90s flashback / Robert Palmer-esque video.
