Burial - Kindred

Clandestine dubstep don Burial has finally, fully come forth with his first proper release since last year’s “Street Halo” 12″ and those Thom and Massive Attack bits. It is precisely what you should be listening to if you need a palette cleanser after last night’s brutal, endless and depressing wade into the mainstream. Burial’s murky, rim-clicked/vocal-clipped beat are in proper form on Kindred’s title track, and the previously loved “Ashtray Wasp.” Add to that a cut called “Loner” which tunes Burial’s dubstep murk into a more ghostly house vibe, and you have all three tracks, streaming freely over at Hyperdub.
