Let’s just start with a nice nullus on the post title. We’ve told you about Momofuku, its initial formats, its meaning and its Jenny Lewis. Today Elvis Costello’s new one’s available digitally and on CD for those of you who eschewed the vinyl version. Starting NOW, you can also stream it in full right here. We just started listening, but “No Hiding Place” is already crushing it, and track three (“Turpentine”) is coming with a great guitar sound and a greater Jenny Lewis harmony. Sounding nice via digital stream … maybe going vinyl on this one isn’t such a bad idea after all.

Momofuku is out via Lost Highway Records.

  2. make sure you add a few more “Jenny Lewis” mentions so that it gives more “cred” to this mature artist. Stereogum get a fucking clue.

  3. I’m totally digging it.

It’s a really great record. It has the spunk that I feel was missing from his last two releases. I’m happy.

  5. it sounds great on vinyl, it was well worth it.

  6. momofuku may very well be my favorite in quite a while, and i’m sort of kind of just a little bit obsessed with elvis costello. and cheers to IFM’s jenny lewis comment. indeed, hearing her mentioned several times per elvis costello article as of late has been getting a tad tiresome. okay, she sings back-up. we get it. really.

(for the record, i like jenny lewis.)
