Screaming Females - "It All Means Nothing" Video

Ugly, the new Steve Albini-engineered album from fiery Jersey punks Screaming Females, is easily my favorite of the 2012 albums I’ve heard. Early this month, we posted the roaring album opening “It All Means Nothing,” and now that song has a grimly cartoonish video, directed by the band and by Ken Castellano. In the clip, the two dudes in the band, flexing heretofore undiscovered comic-acting chops, learn that leader Maria Paternoster has a gruesome secret, and they react in a similarly over-the-top way. It’s bloody enough that you’d have to call it NSFW, but you should watch it anyway. Check it out at YouTube (via Paste), and thanks to Michael_ for the tip.

Ugly is out 4/3 on Don Giovanni.
