Carter Tutti Void - Transverse

On the new album Transverse, a couple of different generations of bleak British electronic music team up. Carter Tutti Void is the new trio made up of Chris Carter and Cosey Fanni Tutti, both original members of the fucked-up industrial pioneers Throbbing Gristle, and Nik Kolk (otherwise known as Nik Void), one-third of the excellent young British goth-dance crew Factory Floor. Together, the three of them have formed Carter Tutti Void, and they recorded Transverse, their first album, live in front of an audience as part of a recent London festival after putting its pieces together in the studio. To listen to the forbidding groove “V3,” the third of the album’s four tracks, head over to YouTube (via Pitchfork).

Transverse is out 3/27 on Mute.

  1. It’s amazing that even after all these years, these two wreckers of civilisation are still at it and just as relevant as ever. It’s also nice to see them embracing the next wave of subversive musicians like Nik Kolk and the rest of Factory Floor. I’m eagerly awaiting “Transverse.”
