The entire album is around 40 minutes long; each song hits around 5 minutes.
8 songs hit me as strange at first. But really, why put two filler songs on there just to make it an album with 10 songs. This way it’s just the best.

Completely agree. Look at First Impressions of Earth–that album was about four songs too long. Some people freak out when an album isn’t 70 minutes long with 16 tracks. I’ve never understood that…for example, Is This It is a phenomenal ALBUM, and it’s only 36 minutes long!
Of the people from 8 years ago I guess I most admire J.Black for moving to Nashville …must be hard to stay in touch once you’ve “made it”

So many influences I’m hearing. The promo makes it sound like he just doesn’t stop singing.
The first song seems to be a copy of a French song called ‘la poupee qui dit non’ by Michel Polnareff, Are we gonna have a Satriani-Coldplay thing again? What happened with that by the way?
