Quakers

Portishead producer Geoff Barrow is also the man at the center of Quakers, an indie-rap collective with a new album coming out on Stones Throw in a couple of weeks. We’ve already heard the Guilty Simpson/M.E.D. collab “Fitta Happier,” which samples a marching-band version of Radiohead’s “The National Anthem.” And now here’s another track called “Smoke,” a deeply funky old-school lope that features the L.A. rapper Jonwayne.

The self-titled Quakers album is out 3/27 on Stones Throw.
